Now that Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman have tied the knot, they’re going to paradise. The couple boarded a private jet late on Monday in Sydney and left for their honeymoon, which is believed to be taking place in Fiji or Tahiti.
After their lavish wedding ceremony and reception yesterday in a Sydney suburb, the newlyweds had lunch with their family at the seaside Park Hyatt this afternoon. Kidman kept it casual, opting for a black and white dress and a black cardigan. Keith wore blue jeans and a light blue tee.
Where the couple was headed as they jetted away later that day remains a mystery. Various sources claim they will be staying at the Wakaya Club resort in Fiji, where they are believed to have spent close to $200,000 to rent the entire hotel for a week. The resort is no stranger to celebrities, having hosted Demi Moore, Oprah Winfrey and Russell Crowe in the past. It is also the location where Keith Richards suffered an injury in April after falling out of a palm tree.
Memories may be the one thing that keeps Kidman and Urban from spending their honeymoon in Fiji. Nicole and her former husband, Tom Cruise were said to have considered Fiji their favorite vacation spot. Should the new couple chose to find a new hideaway, Bora Bora in Tahiti is also said to be on their list of potential vacation locations.
